It is important to aim at a higher metabolism because it helps your body burn more calories even
when you are just resting. The calories that you eat are what your body converts through the metabolism that it
has. So, it is best to have t hem higher because then, you would not have
the calories stored as fats. Boosting your metabolism is the best you can do to lose excess fat.
Never skip a meal
Many people have been cheated to opt to skip meals when they are trying lose excess fat.
However, this would normally work only during the first three days. Thereafter, you would have your body demanding
to get the food. This demand would drive you to overeat just so that you compensate for the days that you stayed
without food. Those who are working in an office where they sit a lot have to devise a better way to weight loss
than just skipping meals to lose excess fat.
Sitting down the whole day means that you only need a few calories in a day. So, everything else
that you eat is converted into fats. You are hoping that the calories you consume are converted into energy. You do
not wish to have so much of what you consume converted into fats. So, you have to work on how you can burn the
calories that you eat and convert them into energy. Skipping meals is not an option to lose excess fat.
Boosting your metabolism is good because it not only helps you lose weight through burning more
calories but it also helps you have more energy. When you skip meals to lose excess fat, you only get more sluggish
by the day. Your body needs food to get energy. When you deprive your body from food, you are limiting it to energy
as well. You need to make your body make the most energy possible.
A high metabolism means lots of energy
Try to imagine how it was when your body was able to make most energy. Maybe, you were only in
high school then. You would take a bus to school and this meant walking to the bus stop or you even walked to
school. You walked around while in school, to and from classes. Better still, you had 2 to 3 hours of games
practice while in school, you joined several games.
Those days, you ate anything you felt like and you never gained weight. It is because your
metabolism was high and so calories were burning faster than you can imagine. Well, things have really changed
today. You drive yourself to work, you recline in that office chair and you eat big lunch. When you get home, you
are damn tired and you end with a very huge dinner. Then, you sit lazily in front of that TV set until you stand up
to go to bed. So how can you lose excess fat?
Incorporate exercise into your lifestyle
The challenges of getting to the gym after work are obvious to many of us. However, you can
start on this slowly and build it up in pace. Maybe for your first month, you could try going once a week. Then,
the next month, you may improve to take it to two times a week. Then, in the third month, you can now try the
recommended three times a week. This can definitely help you lose excess fat.
The same goes for the trainings that you take. You can start small and get intense with time.
Your metabolism will pick up soon especially after the first few weeks and then it will stabilize and get
consistent as you also keep exercising consistently. Note that, you have to discuss with your health care expert
before you can get into any of the exercise program to lose excess fat.
